Nach der Besetzung seiner Heimat durch sowjetische Truppen im Jahre 1940 wurde er als "sozialgefährliches Element" 1941 nach Sibirien deportiert und musste in Stalinka Schwerarbeit leisten. 1956 Aufhebung der Verbannung.
